So a lot has gone on since Friday. I went to the meetup at O'Connels and despite the line, it was fantastic. Lots of fun. I really enjoyed having a nice loud environment to mingle in and talk to lots of different LJ'ers.

I got up on Saturday morning and made it to Italian class fine. I even prepared what to say to the teacher when I got there since I needed to leave class early because my dad was coming to town. "Devo andare alle dieci oggi" but Arturo told me to add the word via after andare to be more correct. Oh well, I was close. So at class, the woman I HATE was like 45 minutes late for class because she had to take her precious rat-like dog to the groomer. So of course, she was lost and had to stop the class for a bunch of questions. I strongly believe that if you're 45 minutes late to class you forfeit all rights to ask questions until after class in a private conversation with the teacher. Evidently that never crossed her mind. I think the reason I don't like her is that she treats the class as if it's all about her. She has no consideration for the other students...would never consider saying "I'm still unclear about that...do you think we could go over it again after class". No...she would make everyone sit there twiddling their thumbs while the teacher explains to her for a third or fourth time.

So my dad came to town on Saturday and I hung out with him and Dannye. He got my bathtub faucets all unstuck so I can finish my tiling. They were really hard for him to unstick, so I don't feel so bad about giving up on them. So they left here around one and went over to Melinda's.

Then later Saturday afternoon I went to Becky's Carpet and Tile and found some carpet for my basement. They're supposed to come install it on the 11th. Yay! I need to call the salesman guy and tell him exactly which pattern I decided on.

I ended up hanging out with [livejournal.com profile] brentmj on Saturday night. We went to hear a band he might start playing with at a little bar in Ballwin. The bar kinda sucked, but the band was decent.

Sunday was a big day for home improvement. I tore out the nasty bar.

In order to get the bar completely out, I had to get a saw because the base of the bar was made of 2x4s that were also holding up the sink's cabinet. Check out my awesome saw.

After that was all done, I started laying out the tiles that I'm going to use back in the bar area. I wanted a curved connection between the tile and carpet, so here's what I've got so far.

Exciting, isn't it? :)

6!!!

Five laughing sheep and one quacking duck. All together that makes six!

I know everyone was on the edge of their seats wanting to know what it would be today.
