one week down (almost)

well, last night i got an email i wasn't entirely surprised to get. they're asking me to stay an extra two weeks here.

instead of flaming them back saying "hell no, i need to go home", i waited a bit, called brentmj, and asked if he would like to come visit. then today, i composed a lovely letter telling them that i would be amenable to staying longer if they would fly him over :)

we'll see what happens. my project manager thinks it's totally reasonable.

this weekend i got several ideas for day trips i can take from wolverhampton. so I think i'm headed off to stratford-upon-avon and ironbridge. they had lots of ideas for weekend trips too, so i might not waste my money flying off to a bunch of places, but instead get out to the english countryside.

i really really really hope brentmj can come over. we can go to scotland to visit his friend simon then. that would be lovely.
