my first views of minneapolis

it's a surprisingly nice city. the downtown is amazingly lively. it's startlingly different from st. louis. there are easy comparisons...i'm working in the target building downtown which is attached to a mall...very similar to the famous barr building attached to a mall downtown. but this mall is alive and nice instead of sadly fading into a painful death.

they have a nice pedestrian friendly street also, with lots of restaurants and shops...and amazingly they're open past 6.

why can't we have a nice downtown?
