excited and nervous

I just got confirmation that I'm going to get to take lessons from Immanuel Davis, the flute teacher at the Univ. of Minnesota. I've heard great things about him from folks who've been to his masterclasses, so this is going to be fun (and a little nerve wracking).

Now I have to figure out what I'm going to work on with him...I already told him my goals, so we'll see how it goes I guess...I'll be starting next Wednesday I think :)

i must be sick

i hurt everywhere, my nose is running, and my eyes are all droopy. oh, and my face has been flushed all day :(.

i'm curled up in bed with a warm laptop right now and will probably go to sleep as soon as the bloody outdoor concert in 35 degree weather gets done. these northerners are insane.
