I started my weekend a little early due to some time off that I was owed. I stopped working at about 3:30 and started doing some staining on woodwork in the living room :) It's a pain working up high on the ladder. I still need to do another 2 coats of shellac too. Oh well, it's a start. Pictures are over on the houseblog.
I've got 4 people lined up to see the Shrews house this weekend or next week. Another might come the following week if it's still available.
Yesterday we tried to do some shopping and pie-eating in Belleville, but that was thwarted by everything being closed. We did take a nice drive through east carondelet though. Today I have plans to check out a couple Kmarts in the area for a particular piece of furniture I want. We found it at the south county one, but they only had a beat up floor model left. I figure there's a chance one of the other ones might have it. Then I have to do some more shellacking and maybe some more staining.
I'm currently surrounded by cat lumps on sofa arms. All 3 of them are in here with me. Murray was a sweet cute kitty last night and slept most of the night on top of me, on top of brent, or between us. He wanted to be petted and was sweet and purry. Funny how as soon as he leaves the bed he screams like murder if I touch him.
Oh yeah, in today's errands I may be perusing the liquor gift box collections at other area schnucks. I've noticed the selection differs across the stores, and I'm always looking for free stuff :)
