*nods* All buildings on the southwest corner of McKnight and Manchester, from the intersection up to the RSI Kitchen and Bath store, are slated for demolition. This includes the building housing Rock Hill's fire department and City Hall. Some of the homes along McKnight south of the intersection, along with some along Leonard Street, will be demolished as well.

What exciting things will be in this mall, you wonder? A Stein Mart! A Starbucks! A Cold Stone Creamery! And...U.S. Cellular, Deck the Halls, Jaffee Lighting, Michael's, QuikTrip, Books-A-Million and three banks. On the northwest side, which is where Cafe Brasil is located, will be more stores, condos, offices and an old folks' home. Behind this, on Rock Hill Road, some homes will eventually be demolished to make room for the relocated City Hall, fire and police department, and probably the city library. Please note that the firm responsible for developing this project, Novus, is the same one who got into the huge mess in Sunset Hills. Also add, on top of this construction, the much-needed repair to I-64 which will funnel more traffic down Manchester Road towards the construction site.

In short, your sister's little neighborhood won't be so quiet very soon.
