Nice weather

It's quite pleasant out here in Minneapolis. I'm staying at a hotel that's about a mile from work. I took a cab there last night because I was carrying my luggage, but I walked to work this morning. It took a bit longer than I expected (20 min) because of poorly timed lights, but otherwise is a very enjoyable walk. I pass at least 3 gay bars and 2 sex stores on the way. heh.
Tonight I think I may venture over the river to go to Surdyk's, a wine and cheese store. It seems walkable and is also about a mile from my hotel. I'm a little concerned as to whether the bridge has a sidewalk but I can only assume it does, since I must not be the only person who wants to cross it on foot. Yay for cheese.
Last night I got out and took a bus to Creative Fibers. They had a lot of wool and other fibers for spinning but I couldn't allow myself to buy more before I use what I have. I did pick up some interesting japanese yarn that is much softer than Noro and has much more frequent color changes. I can't remember the name off-hand. I also got some size 1 dpn's for more socks. The bus ride was incredibly easy as the transit website told me what bus to take, where to get on, and where to get off. I did have a moment of confusion figuring out which side of the street to stand on to go south though, since the street I was on was east/west at that point. A nice passer-by helped me though.
Today at lunch I intend to hit up Marshall Fields and/or Target to find a white dress shirt to go under my new sweater vest I made. Hopefully I can find something nice on sale.
